Hosts Spain showed great form this weekend in Madrid, as the Spanish capital was hosting the sixth leg of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2018.
The home nation captured all gold medals at stake in the team events: Team Technical 88.1682, Team Free 91.8332 and Free Combination 90.8332, as well as the Duet and Mixed Duet events.
Sara Saldana together with partner Paula Ramirez earned gold in the Duet Free (89.9332) and Duet Technical (86.3442), while Pau Ribes / Berta Ferreras Sanz got 82.1257 points for the Mixed Duet Technical and 85.0332 points for the Free equivalent.
Switzerland’s Vivienne Koch surprised all in the Solo events by clinching gold in both the Technical and Free routines. She respectively earned 76.0091 and 78.0000 points. Hungary’s Szofi Kiss scored 75.2077 for her Solo Technical and 76.0668 for her Solo Free routine to claim silver.
The ten-leg circuit next stops in Surrey BC, Canada, from May 31-June 2.
