Solo Sports Brands Ltd, distributor for arena UK are excited to announce a new 3 year sponsorship contract with Kayla van der Merwe. The 16 year Winchester City Penguins swimmer has had a standout year in her first year racing internationally for Great Britain.
Kayla picked up gold in the 100m breaststroke at the European Junior Championships in Russia and followed that up with bronze in the 200m event. A few weeks later at the World Junior Championships in Budapest, Kayla was on again on medal winning form with silver in the 50m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m .
The multiple age group record holder has also been rewarded for her amazing year with her first senior international call-up and will compete at the European Short Course Championships in Glasgow in December.
