The CMS Stags and Athenas won seven of ten events en route to a team victory at the Whittier Co-ed Relays on Saturday. The four-team competition featured a unique set of relays, each of which alternated male and female competitors.

University of Chicago Trumps Wheaton, IL
The Wheaton men’s and women’s swim teams continued their opening weekend of the 2013-14 swim season with a dual meet against the University of Chicago on Saturday afternoon. Chicago was victorious in both meets, winning the men’s meet 147-97 and the women’s meet 130-118.

Uconn Defeats Villanova To Win Second Straight Meet
“The strength of our men’s team showed today,” Head Coach Goldberg said. “We were able to swim our men’s swim team in several secondary events, which will be very beneficial as the year moves on.”
Johns Hopkins Women Best Marywood and St. Francis (PA) at Thomas Murphy Invitational
The Johns Hopkins women’s swim team won eight of 13 swimming events to earn wins over Marywood and St. Francis (PA) at the annul Thomas Murphy Invitational. Hopkins defeated Marywood, 270-87, and St. Francis, 225-106, but suffered a 207-156 loss to host Loyola as the Blue Jays improve to 3-1 on the season.
Johns Hopkins Defeats Loyola and Marywood at Thomas Murphy Invitational
The Johns Hopkins men’s swim team won 11 of 13 swimming events to defeat Marywood and host Loyola at the annual Thomas Murphy Invitational. With wins over the Pacers (270-93) and the Greyhounds (242-123), the Blue Jays improve to 3-0 on the season.
Nitz leads Wheaton, IL v. DI Opponent
The Wheaton women’s and men’s swimming teams opened their 2013-14 season on Friday by hosting UW-Milwaukee, a NCAA Division I opponent. The UW-Milwaukee women’s team defeated Wheaton 113-88 and the UWM men’s team defeated the Thunder men 133-72
Pirates Sweep Tri-Meet Against Richmond and Limestone
On the men’s side, Rokas Cepulis, Michael Dugan and Attila Kiraly were dual event winners. Cepulis won the 100 fly and 200 breast, while finishing second in the 100 breast by 0.13. Kiraly swept the backstroke races and Dugan was the winner in the 500 and 1000 free.
Missouri State Swimming & Diving Splits with SIU; Three More Men’s Pool Records Set
The men’s team won 10 events on the day with other victories coming from Miguel Davila in the 1,000 free (9:24.10), Le in the 50 free (20.52), Matthew Wilson in the 200 butterfly (1:50.50), Isaac Springer in the 200 breast (2:05.43) and Kalnins in the 100 free (45.76).

“Even though the scores look a little lopsided, we still had some very close races,” Towson Head Coach Pat Mead said. “We’re looking at the big picture to make sure we are on track for a good end of the season.”
New Paltz Women Triumph over Ramapo
A well-rounded effort from top to bottom helped the State University of New York at New Paltz women’s swimming team claim a 160-97 victory over Ramapo College in its 2013-14 home opener at Elting Pool Saturday. The Hawks posted the fastest time in 12 of the 14 events contested.
