Off the Deep End: Pan Ams Cheerleaders Take a Tumble

Check out the following video from the 2011 Pan Am Games. During a delay in the meet, where the timing system was being worked on, the meet cheerleader took a tumble into the pool.

As one of our readers accurately put it, not all mistakes made by the Pan Am organizers (and there have been many) lead to negative outcomes!

As an aside, why does every country in the world have cheerleaders at their swim meets beside the United States. Are we taking our meets too seriously? I think it needs to be looked into. If I ever am the organizer of a big meet in Houston, I’m hiring the Texans cheerleaders. Done deal.
