MINI PHOTO VAULT: A Gopher in Doha

Most of the competitors for Wednesday’s FINA World Short Course Championships in Doha have arrived in Qatar, and that includes the defending Big Ten Champion in the 200 breaststroke Kierra Smith, representing her native Canada.

Smith has shared  a mini-photo-vault’s worth of pictures from her two-or-so-days there so far, including a peak inside the competition venue.

A view from the Canadian hotel shows the ongoing building boom in Doha. The Canadians' hotel is about 30 minutes away from the Americans, who are staying downtown, but Smith says it's closer to the pool. (Photo Courtesy: Kierra Smith)
