Leah Shackley Eyeing Long Course Season: “I’m really excited for June”

2025 Pro Swim Series — Sacramento

After a successful outing at her first NCAA Championships, NC State Freshman Leah Shackley is back in the competition pool, this time racing LCM at the Sacramento Pro Swim. Shackley placed 3rd in the 100 back and 2nd in the 50 fly on the 3rd night of racing. The wolfpack member says she has goals she’s chasing heading into the World Trials in June.

Why would she do that? NC State has had 5 different women’s A finalists in backstroke in the past two years and has two Olympians in backstroke training there.
