Rob Lincoln, senior captain of the swimming team at the Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, has been accepted into the Cornell University Class of 2019 and will suit up for the Big Red in the fall of 2015.
Of his decision, Rob says: “I loved Cornell when I visited and I immediately felt at home with the team. What really helped me finalize the decision was the engineering program at Cornell”
Lincoln swims for Coach Jim Jordan, Head Boys Coach and Program Director of The Lawrenceville School Varsity Swim Team . In addition to captaining the swimming team, Rob was a co-captain and three year starter on the New Jersey state champion Lawrenceville Water Polo team. Lincoln was the New Jersey Prep State Champion in the 100 yard backstroke for three consecutive years. He specializes in backstroke and sprint freestyle and his top high school short-course times include:
50y free – 21.05
100y free – 46.23
200y IM– 1:54.26
100y backstroke– 51.27
100y free (relay split) – 44.6
In addition, Rob sports fast relay splits of 20.19 and 44.68 for the 4 x 50 and 4 x 100 yard free events.
