POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the mission and work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization. The Competitive Swimming Director is responsible for the leadership and management of the swim team in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the YMCA of the USA, USA Swimming, and the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA. The Competitive Swimming Director is expected to form positive relationships, mentor as appropriate and effectively communicate with coaching staff, swim team members, swim team parents, and the YMCA community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Demonstrates and models the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

8.Supervises swim meet activities including warm-ups and events; follows all aquatic procedures and guidelines including those pertaining to health and safety, rosters, forms, meet achievements, reports, and staff expectations.
9.Coordinates team practice schedules with the Aquatics Director that will not conflict with member programs.
10.Provides opportunities to develop new team members through clinics.
11.Maintains physical presence at all times with swim team and staff and remains aware of pool surroundings and participants in the pool.
12.Develops positive relationships with participants and staff providing motivational support and guidance; maintains consistent scheduled office hours.
13.Assists with community events such as Healthy Kids Day, Open Houses, and Annual Campaign.
14.Shares responsibility for the success of the overall Branch performance and helps maintain a positive image for the YMCA.
15.Knows, follows, and enforces all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures, and those for the prevention of child abuse.
16.Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings, and staff trainings.
17.Participates in workshops, trainings, and seminars that will enhance professional growth.
18.Performs other job-related duties as may be periodically assigned.
At least 21 years old with minimum three (3) years’ experience coaching a competitive program.
Lifeguarding, CPRPR, First Aid, AED, O2, ASCA, and YMCA coaching certifications.
Safety Training for swim coaches within first 30 days of employment.
Safe Sports Act training within first 90 days of employment.
Proven experience in the management of competitive swimming and the ability to teach technique instruction for all ages and abilities.
Advanced knowledge in practical, theoretical and psychological concepts of competitive swimming.
Active membership in local, regional, and national swim coaching organizations.

Brazadas Swim Club is seeking an experienced, motivated, and community-minded Head Coach to lead our growing USA Swimming competitive program in Bakersfield, California.

The Head Developmental Coach is a key leader in The Woodlands Swim Team coaching staff, responsible for the development, oversight, and daily operation of the developmental program (typically 10 and under). Position in Organizational Structure
The Head Developmental Coach is a mid-level leadership position within the club’s coaching staff. This role reports to the Head Age Group Coach and works closely with the Head Age Group Coach to ensure seamless athlete progression. The position holds direct oversight of developmental level coaches and serves as the primary architect of the club’s Developmental program, forming the foundation of the team’s long-term competitive success.
The Aiken-Augusta Swim League (ASL), is seeking a experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic leader to serve as the Head Coach and Program Director of our thriving year-round competitive swim team.
Established in 1969, ASL is the premiere swim club in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) encompassing greater Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC (with population approaching 800,000). Our club is set up for success with two tiers of participation including the Local Racing Squad (250+ swimmers), which serves as an entry-level program with flexibility and lower commitment levels for athletes who are new to the sport, and the Travel Squad (130 swimmers), which seeks to develop committed year-round athletes to meet their highest potential through dedication, hard work, and perseverance. The Head Coach/Program Director will oversee all aspects of the club including fostering the development of athletes and assistant coaches, assisting the Board in club operations, and providing strategic vision and planning to make these goals possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Wet Side –
Oversee all levels of swimming, including program design and advancement plan for all groups.
Directly coach at least one group, participate in coaching other groups, assist Board to fill vacancies in coaching staff as needed.

Set practice group structure and schedule.
Personally attend highest level of competition for all age groups at least annually to allow for evaluation of coaching staff, evaluation of program progression and development of team relationships.

The Wilton YMCA Wahoos Age Group Coach works directly with the Director of Wahoos Swim Team and Wahoos coaching staff to lead the 11/12 Maroon and Gold practice squads. In addition, they will assist with the 8/under and 10/under squads to build connection with the entire 12/under program. The qualified coach leads with passion, patience, and enthusiasm to promote the learning of swimming skills, improvement of swimmer endurance and fitness, and instills a sense of confidence and team pride in all swimmers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coaching
Lead coach for Maroon and Gold Practice Groups, our intermediate and advanced 11/12 practice groups. Maroon goals include learning skills/endurance for a 100 of all four competitive strokes, 200 IM, and 500 Freestyle at the Regional championship level. Gold Squad goals include learning skills/endurance for a 200 of all four competitive strokes and explore distance events, at the Age Group Championship level.
Effectively prepares swimmers for a successful transition to the 13/14 Junior and Pre-Senior Squads with training, technical skill, and personal fulfillment in the sport of swimming.
Assists with 10/under and 8/under practices, as directed.
Develops meet schedule and coverage for Age Group program.
Prepares swimmer evaluations and recommendations on squad placement at the end of each season.

Submits meet entries for Maroon and Gold swimmers.
