India ke first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar ko 3 December ko Raga Palace, Pimpri mei felicitate kiya jayega ek event mein jiseThe Sport Climbing Association of Maharashtra organise karegi.

Lt Gen Ajai Kumar Singh General Officer-Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Southern Command is event ko attend karenge.

Ye occasion Petkar jinhone India ke liye pahla Paralympic gold medal jeeta tha unki 51st anniversary par rakha gaya tha. Petkar ne 50m freestyle swimming mei world record timing 37.33 seconds jo ki unhone 1972 Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany mei set kiya tha aur gold medal bhi jeeta tha.

Ye ceremony Petkar ko unki Paralympic Gold jeetne ki memory ko yaad karne ke liye hai. Isi same event mei Petkar ne javelin, precision javelin throw and slalom disciplines mei bhi participate kiya tha aur un teeno mei finallist bhi the.
