DE PERE, Wis. – The Green Bay swimming and diving teams had a strong showing at the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center, taking down St. Norbert College. Green Bay defeated the Green Knights 163-67 (men) and 183-57 (women) on Friday night.
MEN’S RECAP
Sam Morris took the victory on the three-meter board with a score of 226.15 and the top spot on the one-meter board, totaling a score of 187.95, outlasting Owen Pittenger, who totaled 217.70 on the three-meter board and 171.20 points on the one-meter board. Jerett Maalis paced the Phoenix to victory in the 100-yard backstroke, in which the Phoenix swept the top five spots. It was Sebby Smolecki pacing Green Bay to victory in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:54.32, where the Phoenix also filled the top five with five Phoenix. John Burnard led the way in the 1000-yard freestyle with a final time of 10:10.52, while Quinlan Schroeder led the 100-yard breaststroke posting a 57.79 time.
Green Bay also dominated the 200-yard medley relay, pacing the top four teams, led by Zacha King, Ramiro Diaz, Eli Zimmerman, and Chris Aristondo, and a final time of 1:36.65. Owen Kearns led the pool in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:53.16. Zimmerman also led the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.27 over his teammate in second Chris Aristondo’s time of 53.42.
WOMEN’S RECAP
Annie Frederickson continued her strong performance on the board this season, taking first in the three-meter and one-meter against SNC. Elise Pasholk led the way in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.66, while placing second by just 1/100th of a second in the 100-yard butterfly behind teammate Paige Dekiep’s time of 1:00.08. Esther Oswald posted a time of 1:00.78 in the 100-yard backstroke, which was good for first place, with teammates Grace Daanen, Marisol Swenson, and Ella Gorski placing second third, and fourth close behind. Cora Singleton Lilianna McAvoy, and Emily Allen (respectively) went one-two-three in the 100-yard freestyle.
The Phoenix women swam to the top of the board in several other events, including Kaleigh Gale in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:55.17, Kath Fisher in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:16.33, and freshman Hannah Mellock, who paced the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:21.76. Additionally, senior Faith Eilertson led the way in the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:06.35 final time.
COMING UP
Green Bay will have over a week’s rest before heading to St. Paul to face St. Thomas in a three-day event. The Green and White will cross the Mississippi River to face the Tommies on November 21 through Saturday, November 23.

DE PERE – St. Norbert College freshman Adelle Polzin (pictured) broke the school record in the three-meter dive, as the Green Knights faced off with NCAA Division I opponent UW-Green Bay, falling 183-57 in a dual meet at Mulva Pool.
Polzin placed fourth in the three-meter dive, finishing with a score of 127.45 and now a program record for the Green Knights.
Lacy Geurts placed second in the 50-yard freestyle, while Ashley Jankowski finished in second in the 200-yard freestyle. Ally Boyer was second in the 100-yard breaststroke, while Prudence Rosko came as runner-up in the 1,000-yard freestyle.

DE PERE – St. Norbert College sophomore Owen Pittenger set a school record for the three meter dive, as the Green Knights took on NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay in a 163-67 dual loss at Mulva Pool.
Pittenger placed second in both diving competitions, and in the three meter, scored a 217.70 to set a new school record.
Finn Heneghan and Andrew Tonkovic (pictured) both won individual events, winning the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle respectively. Tonkovic also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle, while Heneghan finished as runner up in 50-yard freestyle. Drew Hershman also placed second in an event, placing in the 1,000 yard freestyle.
