#FantasySwimming Update: Same teams on top, but FlyingClary closing the gap

Your daily FantasySwimming update from league organizer @RettaRace:

Biggest Point Earners: Although #TeamTandL (in #Lane4) and Team #KevinCordes NeckTho (in #DeckChange) are still on top, there were some major movers after the day’s events wrapped up.  #FlyingClary had the biggest positive point swing within the #Lane4 league.  The team scored a backstroke jackpot earning points both for Hocking’s first place (W 200 Back) and Irie’s second place (M 200 Back), along with the bonus points for the records they earned.  On the #DeckChange side of things, #ReezyNationLovesTWS racked up a whopping 60 points on Day 3, again with major wins in the backstroke events.  This team had both Hocking and Clary, which brought in first place finishes and record bonus points.  Additionally, #Reezy selected Australia for both the M & W 4 x 100 Relay, which helped with her point haul.

In the basement: Team #JustKeepSwimming was the team left at the bottom in #Lane4, despite a great finish by Runge (2nd in 400).  Selecting USA for both relays ended up costing her a few points.  Team #InRadWeTrust remained at the bottom of the #DeckChange league; the scratch by Beisel in the 400 Free didn’t help the cause.  We all also thought that Franklin would get top 3 in the 200 Back, so that was a slight loss of points as well.  #FantasySwimming is a combo of part knowledge, part luck, and part circumstances (scratches, injury, weather, etc).

Fan Notes: Nothing brings a #FantasySwimming community together like seeing Phelps and Lochte in the same Final!!  Regardless of which team had whom, we ALL cheered loud and proud for two of our favorite swimmers.  This also came into play with the relays; it was easy to forget which countries we had on our rosters and, instead, just scream loudly for all!  What thrilling races to watch (or, in our case, follow along via live tweets from the lucky peeps actually in Australia)….#NOFinalLiveFeedProblems

We’ll have to see what the Final Day has in store for all of us!
