Duel In the Pool has $120,000 in Prize Money; NBC to Tape-Delay

USA Swimming has announced both the television schedule and the prize money for the 2013 Duel in the Pool that will be held from December 20-21 in Glasgow, Scotland.

While it’s likely that if you’re reading this, you’ll probably know the results by then, NBC will air a two-hour tape-delayed special from 4-6 PM Eastern Time on NBC on Sunday, December 22nd, the day after the meet ends.

Additionally, USA Swimming revealed $120,000 in prizes. There wasn’t a whole lot in the way of information on how the money will be distributed across 30 events, but each team will divide a portion of the money, will each event winner gets a portion of the money. Doing the math, that means that event winners from the winning team will probably walk away with at least $4,000 between their individual race check and the overall team check

A bonus is also going out to any world record swims at the meet.
