Piner swept the diving events as Louisville earned a victory over conference foe Cincinnati. In the 1-meter springboard the sophomore scored a 267.35, finishing over 30 points ahead of the nearest competitor. He then won the 3-meter diving with a 326.75, recording an NCAA Zone Cut.
The Louisville men swept the meet and the women won 14 of 16 events in an early tune-up for three AAC teams at the venue that will host the AAC Championships.
Houston won its first of two meets this weekend, getting two wins each from Heather Winn and Danielle Shedd.

The Georgia Tech and Louisville men watched their best swimmers collide three times, with Andrew Kosic and Joao de Lucca each winning once and tying each other in the 50 free.
The event concludes on Sunday with platform diving. SMU is back in action on Jan. 11 when it travels to No. 2 Texas A&M in College Station for a 1 p.m. CT event.
“Devin (Burnett) and Bryce (Klein) both did a really great job and scored really well today,” head diving coach Jim Stillson said. “I am really pleased with how they have been training and competing.”
