Michael Trice

Michael Trice
Born March 24, 1993 in Georgia Michael Trice is a freestyle specialist at the University of Georgia. Standing 6’4″ Trice is currently in his junior year, and is majoring in Business. Trice is a native Georgian, and after graduating from Brookwood High School he decided to swim for Queens University in North Carolina. At the NCAA DII Championships Trice earned All-America honors both individually and as a member of relay teams, but left Queens after the season. He has a more unique background than the typical swimmer – he stopped swimming year-round his freshman year in high school after feeling burnt out of the sport. He opted out to only swim during the high school and summer seasons, and he decided to add weightlifting to his training regimen, which is when he figured out that he was most suited for the 50 freestyle. His high school coach, Greg Puckett, believes he’s even better on relays simply because of his competitive mentality. Trice is the Georgia school record holder in the 50 freestyle.
