College (SMU)
Gomez qualified for NCAA’s in both of his years at SMU (2017 & 2018). He broke school and conference records in the 500 free, 400 IM, and 200 fly in 2017 while taking conference titles in all 3 events in both 2017 and 2018.
International Competition
2016 Olympic Games (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
Gomez participated in his first Olympics in Rio, where he placed 15th in the 200 fly.
2019 Pan American Games (Lima, Peru)
Gomez earned the bronze medal in the 200 fly (1:57.75) at the Pan Am Games. He also was a part of Colombia’s fifth place mixed 4×100 medley relay and men’s 4×100 medley relay teams.
