University of Florida
2012-2013
In her freshman season at Florida Thielmann earned her first All-America honors of her career. After taking 2nd in the mile and 7th in the 500 at the 2013 NCAA Championships, Thielmann started off her first nationals appearance by finishing 10th in the 500, and going a best time. Off to a good start, Thielmann placed 21st in the 400-yard IM, but really broke out with her 6th-place 1,650-yard freestyle performance.
2013-2014
Thielmann returned to Florida for her sophomore season, where she had three top-eight finishes at the SEC Championships. Although she had a great conference meet, Thielmann did not have the performance she had hoped for, and failed to advance for a second swim. Her best finish came in the mile, with a 20th place finish.
2014-2015
In her third year at Florida Thielmann earned four All-America honors. At the 2015 NCAA Championships she had her best season yet, starting off the meet with the 500-yard free — she finish 5th thanks to her strong back-half. On day two Thielmann snuck into the final of the 400-yard IM, finishing 8th, and was also on the 800 free relay that finished 10th. On the third day of the meet Thielmann swam the mile, this time winning bronze.
2015 British Nationals Time Trials
In summer of 2015 Thielmann competed at the 2015 British Nationals, and in time trials she had a successful meet going 3-for-3 best times. She went 2:00.34 in the 200-meter free, 4:09.73 in the 400-meter free and 8:32.19 in the 800.
