Amy Bilquist

Amy Bilquist from Carmel, Indiana, was born on August 11, 1997. Father Brent was a swimmer and water polo player at Princeton.

High School

Bilquist is the Indiana State Record holder in the 50, 100 Free, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay. She was a four time state champion in the 5o Free and two time state champion in the 100 Free.

International

Bilquist was a member of the US Junior Pan Pac Team in 2014, winning Gold in the 50M Free and 100M Back, and was a member of the Junior World Record Setting 4X100 Meter Free Relay.

2016 US Olympic Trials

Bilquist finished third in the 100M back just missing making the US Olympic Team. She also placed fourth in the 200M Back.

University of California

2015-2016

Bilquist had a successful freshman season, ranking in the Cal’s All-Time Top 10 in four events; fourth in the 100-yard back (50.50) and 200-yard back (1:49.90) and ninth in the 50-yard free (22.10) and 100-yard free (48.02). She won the 200 Back at the Pac-12 Championship Meet, third in the 100 Back, and seventh in the 50 Free.  At the 2016 NCAA Championships, Bilquist finished fourth in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 back and swam anchor on Cal’s victorious 200 free relay.

2016-2017

At the NCAA Championships, Bilquist was part of Cal’s gold medal 200 free relay team and also was on the runner-up 800 free relay and third place 400 free relay team.

Individually, she finished ninth in the 100 back (50.86), 14th in the 200 back (1:52.03) and 17th in the 50 free (22.00).

At the Pac-12 Championships, Bilquist finished fourth in the 200 back (1:51.22), fifth in the 100 back (51.29) and eighth in the 50 free (22.13).

2017-18

At NCAAs, Bilquist was a part of seven Top 10 finishes, three individually and four with relay teams. She was on the runnerup 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay teams and on the third place 800 free relay roster. Individually, she finished eight in the 100 free (47.82), ninth in the 50 free (21.88) and 10th in the 100 back (51.51).

Bilquist scored in three individual events at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships – 50 free (3rd, 21.74), 100 back (3rd, 51.28) and 200 back (4th, 1:50.23). She also anchored the 200 medley and 800 free relays to Pac-12 titles and swam on the title winning 200 free and 400 free relays.

2018-19

At NCAAs, Bilquist swam on four title winning relay teams: the 200 freestyle relay,  400 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay. She also was a part of runnerup 800 freestyle relay team.

At the Pac-12 Championships, Bilquist won gold with the 400 freestyle relay, 200 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay teams.
