The final day of competition at the five Futures sites consisted of the women’s and men’s 200 IM, 50 free, 200 back, and 50 breast, as well as the women’s 1500 free, the men’s 800 free, and timed finals of the 400 medley relay.

Audrey Derivaux’s 2:11.65 in Greensboro was the fastest time overall, and while she was off her entry time by .74, she still won by 2 seconds. Greensboro and Ocala each accounted for 3 of the top 8 times, with Rylee Erisman’s 2:13.55 leading the way in Ocala. 13-year-old Lauren Lonsdale dropped .70 to win in Sacramento with 2:15.96. Stella Chapman went 2:16.14 to place 1st in Madison and earn a spot in the top 8.

Logan Robinson improved his entry time by 1.87 and won in Ocala with 2:01.68. In Madison, Ryan Slonac won by 2 seconds with 2:02.16 (PBx.6). Jordan Ragland put Sacramento into the top 8 with his 2:02.75, which was also Luke Barr’s winning time in Justin. Ragland dropped 4.37 seconds from his seed time and came to the wall 1.6 seconds ahead of the field. Barr won by 5.3 seconds.

Madison was by far the fastest final out of the five sites. The first 6 finishers ranged from 25.65 to 26.17 and the 4 fastest (Riley Anderson, Olivia Wanner, Hailey Tierney, and Abigail Wanezek) were the 4 fastest overall. Anna Wiechertjes won in Greensboro with the only other sub-26. 14-year-old Abigail Burke dropped .33 to lead the field in Ocala with 26.08.

Ocala, led by River Paulk’s 22.33, provided 5 of the 10 fastest times overall (there was a 3-way tie for 8th place). Ben Wiegand was Madison’s leader with 22.60, while William Slowey won in Greensboro with 22.67. Yury Kuzmenko’s 22.89 was the fastest in Sacramento.

Greensboro was smokin’ fast in the women’s 200 back; the “A” final ranged from Audrey Derivaux’s 2:09.00 to 2:15.48. Hayden Gibson in Justin was the only other swimmer to break into the top 8. She won by 6.9 seconds with 2:13.54.

Collin Holgerson improved his seed time by 1.43 seconds to break 2:00 for the first time and win in Ocala with 1:59.45. 15-year-old Denzo Senekal dropped 1.8 seconds to place 2nd with 2:01.00. Between them was Caleb Maldari in Greensboro, who won with 2:00.20. Greensboro provided 4 of the top 8 performances.

Led by Rachel McAlpin’s 31.21, Ocala made up 5 of the 9 fastest times (there was a tie for 8th). McAlpin was the only swimmer under 32 seconds; her runner-up in Ocala, Madyson Hartway, was 2nd overall with 32.02. Sara Czirjak went 32.14 to claim the title in Madison, while Sarah Bennetts was 32.24 in Sacramento. Jessica Strong won in Greensboro with 32.42, tying for 8th overall.

Greensboro provided half of the top 8 performances in the men’s 50 breast, and two of them belonged to swimmers from the over-30 set. Jorge Murillo, the lone swimmer among the five sites to break 28 seconds, beat Eli Martin (28.03) and Chuck Katis (28.08) with 27.76. Travis Gulledge won in Justin with 28.06.

Clare Custer and Madalyn Petty both dropped 11 seconds to finish 1-2 in Ocala with 16:44.98 and 16:52.70. Between there were Caroline Riggs (16:47.35) and Natalie Garre (16:52.62) from Greensboro. Madison’s top finisher was Riley Miklos with 17:02.53.

Levi Sandidge improved his entry time by a tick and won by 7.6 seconds in Greensboro with 8:02.81. Liam Custer was fastest in Ocala with 8:11.27, while Eli Rolfson (8:12.79, PB by 7.7) and Quinn Jones (8:14.22) were victorious in Madison and Sacramento, respectively.

Nation’s Capital Swim Club won in Greensboro by more than 2.2 seconds with 4:08.75. Runner-up TAC Titans ‘A’ relay was .07 faster than the Sarasota Sharks squad that won in Ocala. Madison’s fastest relay performance came from NASA Wildcats (4:14.49).

Although Ocala saw 4 teams finish among the top 8, it was Madison (FMC Aquatic – 3:42.98) and Greensboro (Nation’s Capital Swim Club – 3:43.02) with the two fastest performances.
