The swim was also just off of her season best of a 53.78 that she swam for a 4th place finish at the Pro Series stop in April. Just last month, Erisman swam to a 9th place finish in the event at US Summer Nationals, touching in a 53.90. Just last night, Erisman was just off her personal best in the 200 free as well touching in a 1:57.44.

Hardy dropped over four seconds off her lifetime best 4:52.51 that she swam at the Pro Series in Fort Lauderdale. She has now dropped almost ten seconds this season as her best time was a 4:57.49 that she swam at Futures last summer. She moves up the all-time rankings in the 13-14 age group from #63 to now sitting at #18.

The girls 50 fly came down to the wire as Maryn McDade touched in a 27.60 just ahead of Morgan Carteaux who swam to a 27.61. McDade dropped from her previous best of a 28.45 that she swam just last month. Also winning on the girls side was Brynn Lavigueur who touched in a 1:01.65 in the 100 back. She was slightly faster in prelims with a 1:01.47 and entered the meet with a lifetime best 1:01.66.

Russ was not the only swimmer to get under the 50 second mark as Logan Robinson was 2nd in a 49.61, dropping from his previous best of a 50.38.

Earning a win in the 100 backstroke was David Melnychuk who touched in a 56.00. The UNC commit dropped 0.03 off his previous lifetime best 56.03 that he swam during a time trial at last month’s US Summer Nationals. Melnychuk finished 12th in the 200 back at US Summer Nationals. Touching behind Melnychuk was 15 year old Denzo Senekal who touched in a 56.22. Senekal dropped a second off his previous best of a 57.21 that he swam just last week. His best time entering the season was a 58.15.

She has six swims between 53.75 and 53.90! That’s consistent!

Excited to see if she can drop at world juniors!

She need to go a decent pb to sneak onto the pan pacs team (I think need to be 5th for the summer among us women to be in consideration?) and the 100 is the place to do it

It would be the logical move because of her brother, but another logical move would be to go where there are four swimmers training who are faster — Douglass at 52.5, Walsh at 52.7, Curtis at 53.0, and Moesch at 53.5 — and all trying to improve for 2028.
