Dare Rose Posts 51.79 100 Fly On Night 3 Of Westmont Sectionals

After winning the 200 fly on night 1, Dare Rose swam to a 51.79 to win the 100 butterfly to highlight night 3. Rose has been as fast as a 50.70 this season, a time that he swam at the Bergen Swim Festival, a time that currently sits at #2 in the US this season as well as #6 in the world.

Adding another win to his tally this weekend was Kai Joyner as the 16 year old won the boys 400 free in a 3:56.68. That was 0.46 seconds off his lifetime best 3:56.22.

After winning the 100 back last night, an event he holds the 13-14 national age group record in, Elliot Leasure swam to a win in the 50 back, touching in a 25.99.

Andrew Seifert won the 100 breast in a lifetime best already and added another win with a lifetime best 2:16.76 200 breast. That dropped 0.60 off his best time. Seifert is a BOTR ranked recruit and is committed to Dordt for this fall.

Highlighting the girls side of the meet was Maddie Waggoner who won the 400 free in a 4:16.98, just off her lifetime best 4:16.63 she swam back in 2022 at Mel Zajac Jr. Invitational. She entered the meet with a season best 4:18.87.

Brooke Corrigan dropped a second in the 200 breast, winning in a 2:30.40. That dropped from her previous best of a 2:31.65 she swam last summer at NCSAs. Corrigan swims collegiately for Wisconsin and was 16th in the SCY 200 breast at the 2026 NCAA Championships.

Minnesota commit Faith Lamah swam to a season best 1:01.81 in the 100 fly. She has a lifetime best 1:00.86 in the event that she swam at NCSAs last July. 16 year old Aibhy King was 2nd in a 1:01.86, half a second off her best time. Grey Davis earned a win in the 50 back, touching in a 29.32.
