Day 2 across the five sites included finals of the women’s and men’s 100 free, 400 IM, 100 back, and 50 fly, as well as timed finals of the 800 free relay.

For the second night in a row, Rylee Erisman won her event in Ocala in dominant fashion; this time, it was the 100 free, and she cleared the field by a 2.17-second margin with 53.80. She was nearly 1.5 seconds faster than the next-fastest finisher, Abigail Wanazek at the Madison meet (55.27).

Four swimmers broke the 50-second barrier: 2 in Ocala and 2 in Greensboro. William Russ edged Logan Robinson, 49.42 to 49.61, to claim the title in Ocala, while Zachary Redding clipped Jake Wang by .09 to win in Greensboro with 49.90.

The youth put on a show in the women’s 400 IM across all five sites. 16-year-old Sadie Buckley posted the fastest time overall by 2.6 seconds in Greensboro, winning with 4:45.21, improving her PB by 4.8 seconds. 14-year-old Sydney Hardy won in Ocala with 4:47.86, notching a lifetime best by 4.65 seconds. In Sacramento, it was 13-year-old Lauren Lonsdale with the win, taking 2.26 seconds off her entry time.

Greensboro produced 5 of the 8 fastest times across all sites, with Levi Sandidge leading the way with a winning time of 4:16.88 (PB by .7) in Greensboro. Placing second overall was Alfred Robinson, who finished 2nd to Sandidge with a massive PB of 4:22.39 (-3.4 seconds). Just missing the top-8 ranking was Lukas Vetkoetter, who won by a couple of body lengths in Justin with 4:26.79.

Two swimmers broke the 1-minute barrier in the women’s 100 back. Maggie Wanezek, who entered the meet with a lifetime best of a 59.85 that she swam at last summer’s US Olympic Trials (11th place finish) dropped .71 to win in Madison with 59.14. 15-year-old Audrey Derivaux took 1.1 seconds off her PB to claim the title at Greensboro with 59.83.

It was all Greensboro and Madison in the men’s 100 back, with Devin Naoriz (55.22) and Caleb Maldari (55.35) leading the pack with a 1-2 finish in Greensboro. John Troy and Ryan Hufford were also 55-mids, making that final a .29 spread between 1st and 4th places. Similarly, Michael Long won in Madison with 55.36, edging Ryan Slonac, Matthew Krause, and Ian Steffen by only .33.

TAC Titans had two quartets among the top 8, with their ‘A’ relay finishing 5.8 seconds faster than all the other teams among the five sites. TAC touched first in Greensboro with 8:16.15. Palo Alto Stanford went 8:21.99 to win in Sacramento, edging Sarasota Sharks (8:22.14 in Ocala) by .15.

FMC Aquatic came to the wall 2.2 seconds faster than all other teams, winning in Madison with 7:33.72. SwimAtlanta beat Sarasota Sharks in Ocala by .11 with 7:35.90 for the second-fastest time overall.

That’s what I noticed, too. Sacramento generally looking to be 2nd slowest/weakest.
Many good teams didn’t go to Justin because of air quality issue.
2025 short course sectional meet was held in this pool, a lot of swimmers got sick by air quality
