Gretchen Walsh won swimmer of the meet at her final ACC Championships, sweeping her individual events (3) and relays (4) as well as setting a new ACC record in the 200 free while leading off the 800 free relay. With that record, it meant the UVA women held every single ACC record, a feat that Walsh noted she was particularly proud of being a part of.
GW is the greatest yard swimmer I have ever seen. Whatever UV relay that she is on will probably set a record that will take years to break.
pretty much already true
Gretchen coming into NCAAs pretty much hungry for more is a scary exciting thought
A great example of a successful athlete who has no detectable sign of hubris and has a high level of emotional intelligence.
To clarify, is she eligible for a 5th year? If yes, is she just choosing not to use it?
She is not eligible, because she did not compete in the 2020-2021 NCAA season.
