Projected U.S. Roster for 2021 World Junior Open Water Championships

Open Water Nationals standouts Katie Grimes and Joey Tepper highlight the projected U.S. roster for 2021 World Junior Open Water Championships.

No official roster has been announced yet, but USA Swimming did publish selection criteria ahead of the Open Water National Championships. Based on those criteria, and the Open Water Nationals results, we can project out which athletes would be in line for which spots on the World Juniors roster.

Each event is age-bracketed to specific ages based on birth year, not birth date. We did our best to verify athlete ages, but if we mis-classified someone based on their age as of U.S. Nationals results, let us know and we’ll update our list.

Do they have alternates if someone declines? If so, who are the first people in?

Default to top 2 in each age group/race, and then if there are declines they will go down the finish order to 3rd, then 4th, etc.
