Jack LeVant

Jack LeVant is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally. LeVant won a world championship medal as a part of USA’s bronze medal 4×200 free relay at the 2019 World Championships.

High School

LeVant was ranked as the #11 recruit in SwimSwam’s Top NCAA Recruits list for the class of 2018. He was a 10-time 6A Texas state champion, and the State swimmer of the meet in 2018,setting Texas state records in both the 200 and 500 free. On June 16, 2017, he announced his verbal commitment to swim for Stanford.

College (Stanford)

2018-2019

LeVant was an immediate impact freshman for the cardinal. He was part of Stanford’s runner-up 800 free relay and fourth-place 400 medley and 400 free relay teams at the Pac-12 Championships. He also won the B-final of the 500 free (4:14.21), placed 5th in the 200 free (1:34.60), and won the B-final of the 200 fly (1:44.52). He posted the best 200 free time among Stanford swimmers with a 1:32.61.

LeVant didn’t compete at the 2019 NCAA’s, citing a medical complication. He later revealed via his Instagram that it was related to mental health.

National/International Competition

2018 Summer Nationals (Irvine, California)

In Irvine, LeVant had a breakout meet, registering new lifetime bests in the 200 fly (1:55.89, 1:56.43 finals for 8th), 200 free (1:46.39 prelims, 1:46.46 finals for 5th), and 400 free (3:51.33 prelims, 3:52.01 in finals for 11th). His placings in the 200 free and 200 fly earned him spots on both the 2019 World Championships (4×200 free relay) and World University Games (200 free, 200 fly) rosters.

2019 World Aquatics Championships (Gwangju, Korea)

After sitting out of the 2019 WUG’s due to mental health, LeVant won a bronze medal with the 4×200 freestyle relay team after swimming the third leg in the preliminary heat alongside Andrew Seliskar, Jack Conger and Zach Apple. Seliskar and Apple swam alongside Blake Pieroni and Townley Haas in the final, clocking a 7:01.98 to finish third behind Australia and Russia.
