Lewis Clareburt

Lewis Clareburt is a competitive swimmer who represents New Zealand competitively. He is a 2021 Olympian for New Zealand has bronze medals in the 400 IM from both the 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2019 World Championships.

2018 Commonwealth Games (Gold Coast, Australia)

Clareburt earned a bronze medal in the 400 IM at the Commonwealth Games with a national record time of 4:14.42. He finished third behind Australia’s Clyde Lewis and Scotland’s Mark Szaranek.

2019 World Championships (Gwangju, South Korea)

Clareburt finished third in the 400 IM in a New Zealand national record time of 4:12.07, rounding out the podium behind Japan’s Daiya Seto (4:08.95) and USA’s Jay Litherland (4:09.22).

2021 Olympic Games

Clareburt started his Games strong, breaking a national record on Day 1 in the prelims of the 400 IM, registering a 4:09.57.
