53.1 100 Backstroker Rebekah Bradley Transferring To Ohio State

Ohio State will be adding a new member to their women’s roster, as Conference USA Champion Rebekah Bradley will be transferring in to swim for the Buckeyes. Bradley is originally from New Zealand, but had been swimming for the University of North Texas since last spring. Her transfer comes after former North Texas coach Bredon Bray‘s departure.

Bradley’s best times come from last season’s Conference USA Championship meet, where she won her 1st conference title with a 1:56.45 in the 100 back. She also swam to 2nd place in the 100 back (53.13) and made it to the championship final to place 7th in the 50 free (23.13).

Bradley’s Best Times:

Event Best time
50 free 23.13
100 back 53.13
200 back 1:56.45

Bradley should have an immediate scoring impact for the Buckeyes at the Big Ten Championships. She’s already fast enough to have scored in the top 8 of the 100 back last season. In the 200 back, she’s just hundredths away from the 1:56.41 it took to make the championship final.

At Ohio State, Bradley will team up with Halime Zulal Zeren, who placed 3rd in the 200 back and 7th in the 100 back for the Buckeyes at the 2016 Big Ten meet.
