Justin Andrews has given his verbal commitment to swim at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He is currently a captain of the CSP Tideriders club in St. Louis, MO.
Andrews is a versatile swimmer and will add strength to Miami’s MAC Championship roster in mid-distance freestyle, IM and backstroke. He took second place in both the 200 free and 500 free at the 2014 Missouri High School state championship while representing St Louis University High.
Justin’s top times in yards would have earned him B-final points in three events based on the 2015 Mid-American Conference results, but his times in long course meters indicate that he may have already significantly improved past those marks. Justin earned a Winter Nationals qualifying time at NCSA summer championship in the 200 IM, placing 7th in that event, along with 14th place in the 200 meter free and 24th in the 200 meter back. He plans to compete at Junior Nationals in December in the 200 free, 200 IM and 200 back.
Justin’s top times:
200 Free – 1:41.13 (SC) 1:54.81 (LC)
500/ 400 Free – 4:35.87 (SC) 4:08.03 (LC)
1000 free – 9:31.64 (SC)
200 Back – 1:51.51 (SC) 2:08.08 (LC)
200 IM – 1:52.53 (SC) 2:07.30 (LC)
