The teams of Australia, Brazil, China (as hosts), Japan and USA are the non-Europeans teams qualified for the Super Final of the 2016 edition of the FINA Men’s Water Polo World League, to take place in Huizhou (CHN) on June 21-26.

USA Men Win Over Australia at FINA Intercontinental Tournament

The USA Men’s National Team kicked off play at the FINA Intercontinental Tournament in Japan with an 8-6 win over Australia. Tony Azevedo (Long Beach, CA/Stanford/NYAC) and Josh Samuels (Villa Park, CA/UCLA/NYAC) scored two goals each while Merrill Moses (Palos Verdes, CA/Pepperdine/NYAC) and McQuin Baron(North Tustin, CA/USC/Regency) split time in net recording nine saves to secure the win.

WPWL 2016: Yokohama Decides Non-European Teams for Super Final

From May 10-15, some of the world’s best water polo players will gather in Japan for the FINA Men’s Water Polo World League Intercontinental Tournament. The six-day event runs from Tuesday through Sunday, in Yokohama, a city near Tokyo.
