Watch: Race Videos from Day 1 of the 2017 U.S. Open

2017 U.S. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2017 U.S. Open Swimming Championships are now in the books, as competition concluded on Sunday in East Meadow, New York. We’ve put together the race videos from each day of the meet, which were uploaded to USA Swimming’s YouTube channel. On day 1, swimmers competed in the 200 fly, 100 free, women’s 800 free, men’s 1500 free, and women’s 4×100 free relay.

One of the highlight swims on the 1st night of competition came from France’s Damien Joly, who took down the oldest U.S. Open Meet Record in the books with his performance in the 1500 free. On the women’s side, open water world champion Ashley Twichell raced to a dominant victory in the 800 free. You can read a full recap of the day’s finals here.
