WATCH: Four Relay World Records Fall In Two Days At Short Course Worlds (Race Videos)

2022 FINA SHORT COURSE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The first two days of the 2022 Short Course World Championships have been jam-packed with exceptional performances and exciting showdowns, including four world records being broken in as many relays.

The Australian women have taken hold of the 400 and 800 free relay all-time marks, while the Italian men grabbed the men’s 400 free relay record and the Americans demolished the standard in the mixed 200 medley.

In the individual events, we’ve seen a number of highlights, including Kate Douglass winning the women’s 200 IM with the second-fastest swim ever (2:02.12), and Matt Sates scoring an upset gold in the men’s event in a new African Record of 1:50.15.

World Aquatics has posted race videos of the Australian women’s 400 free relay world record, Sates’ 200 IM win, and Lani Pallister‘s victory in the women’s 400 free, which was the first gold medal of the meet for the Australian native. See below:
