NEC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Makenna Depuydt, Wagner
Sr., Santa Cruz, CA/Soquel

Depuydt took first in the 100 free and 50 free, clocking in at 53.02 and 24.40, respectively, at Wagner’s senior meet victory over LIU (191.5-95.5). Both times were season bests for the senior, her 50 free time ranking ninth in the NEC, and her 100 free time falling just short of the top ten at eleventh.

NEC DIVER OF THE WEEK
Kyri Chambo, Bryant
Fr., Highlands Ranch, CO/Highlands Ranch

Chambo placed earned a second-place finish in the three-meter dive, scoring 215.00, and finished third in the one-meter with a score of 207.68 against Marist.

NEC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Sammi Grenon, Bryant
Fr., Cheshire, CT/Cheshire HS

Grenon took home a pair of first place finishes, winning the 1000 free (10:30.48) and the 200 fly (2:11.62), as well as a second place finish in the 500 free (5:14.09). The rookie’s 1000 free time ranks second in the NEC, falling just short of the top time,10:28.79.

NEC PRIME PERFORMERS

Bryant junior Alexa Rivera (Boynton Beach, FL/Oxbridge Academy) claimed the 100 and 200 free against Marist, clocking in at 53.33 and 1:57.52, respectively. Rivera also took home the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.47.

Bryant freshman Reetta Kanervo (Oulu, Finland/Kastellin Lukio) won the 50 free and the 100 fly against Marist with times of 24.48 and 57.80, respectively. Both times sit in the top-10 NEC times this season.

Saint Francis U senior Sabrina Bowman (Vandergrift, PA/St. Joseph’s) earned a fourth place finish in the 50 free, clocking in at 24.57, a time that sits in the top-10 in the NEC. Bowman also placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke.

Wagner sophomore Ellie Eastwood (Whangarei, New Zealand/Epsom Girls Grammar School) earned two individual victories, claiming the 200 IM (2:10.94) and the 100 breast (1:06.78). Both times fall just short of her season-bests.
