Murphy talks about the tough double, plus how he feels about his season so far.

Markus R: Are you a former Stanford swimmer?

Anyway, Ryan always sounds the same in many of his interviews. He is low-keyed and unassuming. At Cal, the swimming complex is very small seating wise and we fans are very close in to the swimmers and divers. So we can view the athletes and how they react with each other probably better than at other larger venues.

And when the men and women have meets on the SAME days and times like the recent Wisconsin duals (which is when Ryan Murphy did this interview), the place is a bee hive. Yet the athletes seem up and lots of smiling going on and we often get to see former swimmers like… Read more »
