Shelby Steiger from Vista, California has verbally committed to the UNLV Rebels.
Steiger dives for the Davie San Diego Club, and is listed at 5 feet tall and just 110 pounds, and is a springboard specialist. She’s a two-year Nationals qualifier, and dives scholastically for Mission Vista High School, for whom she finished 3rd on the 1-meter at the 2013 CIF San Diego Section Championships and 7th at the 2014 meet.
Both seasons saw her sit right around 200 points in her 6-dive scoring.
UNLV typically signs one female diver in each incoming recruiting class, and on their current roster they have three: a freshman, a junior, and a senior. All three of those divers are also from California.
