LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — The University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team recorded a 187-103 victory at Siena on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the SIena Swim Center.
UNH improves to 3-0 overall on the year, en route to sweeping all 13 scored events and setting six pool records.
Freshman Emma Clarke (Avon, N.Y.) opened the day with a win in the one-meter dive with 219.75 points for the Wildcats, followed closely by fellow ‘Cats Keira Moon (Middletom, Mass.) and Ana O’Neil (St. Paul, Minn.).
UNH earned the top spot in the 200-yard medley with a mark and new pool record of 1:48.54, comprised of Megumi Komoto (Schaumburg, Ill.), Jamy Lum (Honolulu, Hawaii), Chiara Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) and Cate Wardinski (Burke, Va.).
“The team did real well today, Keira Moon posted a PR on 3M and the swimmers all had strong performances at the end of a week of solid training,” said UNH head coach Josh Willman.
Senior Anna Metzler (Regensburg, Germany) took first-place and a pool record in the 1000 free at 10:17.68, while Lum posted a 1:55.87 in the 200 free for the victory.
Freshman Kiersten Donnelly (Pottstown, Pa.) secured the win in the 100 back at 1:01.18 and classmate Maddie Fritz (Lansdale, Pa.) got the victory with a time of 1:07.37 in the 100 breast.
Komoto took the top spot and pool record in the 200 fly (2:08.26) and Wardinski notched a time of 24.41 in the 50 free victory.
Moom won the three-meter dive compiling 241.87 points.
Junior Olivia Stille (Stockholm, Sweden) earned a time of 53.09 in the 100 free top spot. Metzler recorded a pool record of 2:05.62 in the 200 back for first-place, while Lum took the 200 breast (2:21.68) with a new pool record and Hannah Devine (Hamilton, N.J.) took the gold in the 500 free (5:11.16).
The Wildcats return to action on Friday, December 3 at the Bruno Invitational hosted by Brown University in Providence, R.I.

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Competing at home for the second and final time this season, Siena Swimming and Diving battled a tough regional opponent while honoring its three seniors at the Siena Swim Center on Saturday. The Saints fell to New Hampshire, 187-103, renewing a rivalry with the Wildcats in front of their home crowd.
Competing against the Wildcats for the first time since 2011, the Green and Gold paid homage to graduating senior captains Sarah Duggan, Isabel Harms, and Abigail Sheridan, while 11 best times were swam during the meet. Sheridan was included in those going for personal bests, doing so in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:16.33.
New Hampshire took the top spot in all but the final three events of the meet, while recording three pool records in the Siena Swim Center. Anna Metzler set a new standard in both the 1000 free (10:17.68) and the 200 back (2:05.62), while Jamy Lum swam a new facility mark in the 200 breast (2:21.68).
Sheridan carried the top spot in the 200 IM, while junior Jessica Shine won the 100 fly (1:00.15) and the 200 yard freestyle relay team of junior Rory Kalac, freshman Kylie Carter, sophomore Demi Bobarakis, and freshman Shaylea Triller placed first (1:39.84). Shine was among those who swam a best time, doing so in the 200 free (2:03.07).
Sophomores Natalie Colaizzo and Audrey Shultz each recorded a pair of best times, with Colaizzo doing to in the 50 free (26.58) and the 100 free (59.11) and Shultz going in the 100 breast (1:10.10) and 200 breast (2:30.28). Sophomore Emily Sulik joined in the 200 breast, recording a personal best time of 2:41.07. Three freshmen also swam personal bests, with Carter doing so in both the 200 free (1:59.41) and the 500 free (5:20.80), Triller going in the 50 free (25.69) and Olivia Martin doing so in the 200 breast (2:37.66).
Divers Lydia Delano and Talia Spenziero each competed in both one and three meter diving events for the Saints, with Delano playing fourth and fifth, respectively, and Spenziero taking sixth and third.
Siena will continue fall action with a pivotal conference meet next week, traveling to West Long Branch, New Jersey to face MAAC foes Monmouth and Manhattan on Friday, November 12 at 3 PM.
