Courtney Weaver of Greater Flint YMCA swept the butterfly events with her meet-record-swim in the 200 fly.
Preliminaries of the final day at YMCA Nationals wrapped up this morning, with Meghan Small and the York YMCA girls finishing off the session with two straight top seeds including a 1-2 punch in the 200 IM.
Maxwell Dolan (400 IM), Zachary Molloy (200 free) and the Middle Tyger girls (400 medley relay) all set national records on night 2 of the YMCA Short Course National Championships.
Day 2 of YMCA Nationals was again highlighted by a new national record. This time it was Countryside’s Emily Slabe in the 100 backstroke.
Courtney Weaver put up a lifetime-best 52.51 to nab the top seed in the girls 100 fly, starting off YMCA Nationals with a bang.
