The SEC and Mountain West conferences released their weekly swimming and diving awards. Marcelo Chierighini (pictured above) was the SEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week after swimming a 19.93 and 44.09 in the 50 and 100 freestyles.
The Georgia Bulldogs Top the Kentucky Wildcats in the “Double Distance” Season Opener
The Kentucky Wildcats faced off against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens. This meet was Lars Jorgensen’s first meet as the head coach of Kentucky. The Georgia men won with a score of 162-110 and the Georgia women won with a score of 165-98.
