FINA ke dwara Russian athletes ko sirf neutral flags ke under compete krne wali decision ko le kar Russian Swimming President Vladimir Salnikov ne respond krte huye kaha hai ki, “Ye decision balanced hai aur main baat toh ye hai ki isse hamare athletes ke paas right rhta hai ki unhe international competitions mei part lena hai ya nhi.”
Russian aquatic athletes ko abhi bhi compete krne ke liye allowed kiya gya hai but Russian name, flag, national anthems aur other symbols jo ki country ko represent krte hai unhe nhi use kr skti. Yhi same restrictions Belarus ke athletes pr bhi lagai gai hai.
Canada aur United Kingdom ne announced kiya ki August 2022 mei hone wale Worlds scheduled mei wo race nhi krenge. Unhone Australia, 9 Nordic nations, Switzerland, aur Ukraine jaisi countries ko join kr liya hai withdraw krne mei.
