WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Another slate of eight home meets, headlined by the multi-day Purdue Invitational in November and the Big Ten Triple Duals in January, highlight Purdue swimming & diving’s 2019-20 schedules.

Six of the Boilermakers’ eight home meets will be co-ed competitions. Notre Dame (Oct. 25) and Michigan State (Jan. 10) visit campus for head-to-head duals. It’s also Purdue’s turn in the three-year rotation to host Minnesota and Northwestern for the annual Big Ten Triple Duals with (Jan. 31-Feb. 1). Saturday’s day 2 action of the meet will double as Senior Day at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center.

Meanwhile, the three-day, six-session Purdue Invitational (Nov. 21-23) is back on the schedule for the fifth time this decade. The Boilermakers also hosted the Purdue Invite in November of 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2017. Louisville, Pitt, Grand Canyon, Navy, Illinois State, Indiana State, FIU and McKendree are also expected to have student-athletes in attendance.

Purdue’s divers will visit Indianapolis for their fall invitational, competing at IUPUI’s House of Champions Invitational. The three-day meet is set for Nov. 22 to 24. The IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI will also be hosting the men’s NCAA Championships and U.S. Olympic Team Trials in 2020.

The women’s NCAA Championships are slated to return to the University of Georgia for the first time since 2006.

The Big Ten Championships are set for the final two weekends of February, with Iowa hosting the women’s meet and Indiana the men’s. Purdue’s next turns in the hosting rotations are due for 2022 (men) and 2023 (women).

The hosting rotation for the NCAA Diving Zone Championships expands beginning this season. Over the last decade, Indiana, Ohio State and Purdue have hosted the Zone C meet. The NCAA Championships qualifier is slated to be held at the University of Kentucky this season. In future years, Michigan, Louisville and IUPUI are also expected to have the opportunity to host Zones. Zone C continues to feature divers from the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

The Boilermakers are visiting Knoxville in November for an 11 a.m. Friday dual at Tennessee. It’s the return trip to fulfill a home-and-home agreement with the Volunteers, who were part of a triple dual at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center in November 2018.

The first large meet of the season on campus is set for Saturday, Oct. 19. Various universities from around the state are traditionally in attendance for the annual Indiana Intercollegiates in October. That meet will once again serve as Purdue’s season opener.
