Planning Analyst 

Remote | Reports to the Director of Buying and Planning | Full time

The Role

We are searching for an experienced Planning Analyst to help us expand our team. We are on a mission to hire the best of the best to create the global destination for all Swimmers.

The Planning Analyst is responsible for owning and executing inventory planning for one of our product categories. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to maximize sales and in-stocks, optimize inventory turns, and drive profitable growth. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory planning processes and tools (category/assortment planning, open-to-buy, re-orders, pricing changes, etc.)

 What you will do

  • Responsibilities include maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing open to buy dollars with new and replenishment receipts while balancing stock to sales ratios
  • Ensure maximum instocks while assessing weeks of supply, sell through, and sales trends
  • Execute replenishment strategies using proprietary replenishment tools
  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly ad hoc reports to continuously review sales performance and inventory efficiency
  • Work with Merchants on executing both in-season and exiting product pricing strategies
  • Analyze and validate inventory for marketing initiatives
  • Monitor vendor fill rates and communicate areas for improvement to the merchants
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with vendors, buyers, and the warehouse to ensure the rapid and efficient movement of goods through the supply chain
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes by understanding the strategic components of the business
  • Develop processes and system enhancements and drive them to implementation
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere that strengthens the team
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in retail, math, or business preferred
  • 8 years of experience in ecommerce retail replenishment, planning, or supply chain
  • Strong problem solving, math and analytical skills
  • Business knowledge of retail and supply chain concepts
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g. knowledge of pivot tables in Excel, database skills) with an aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
  • Analytical, organized, resourceful, detail-oriented and solution-oriented
  • Ability to build/improve efficient processes and operate clearly in an ambiguous environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to build productive cross-functional relationships quickly
  • Ability to multitask; flexible and readily adaptable to changing priorities
