Position:

The Noblesville Swim Club (NOB), Located in Noblesville, Indiana is seeking qualified applicants for a Head Age Group Coach.  This position will oversee all aspects of the Age Group Program. This position reports directly to the Noblesville Head Coach.

What We Are Looking For:

The Noblesville Swim Club is looking for an enthusiastic coach who is eager to play in intricate role in the development of our age group athletes.  This coach should be excited to learn from the Head Coach while taking ownership and collaborating to create plans that develop their groups technique and training progression.  This individual will be in a management position overseeing the daily operations of the Lead Group Coaches of the Age Group Program.

We want to put a coach in a position to be successful while creating the technical foundation the rest of our program will be built on.  This will be a key position within the program, with future opportunities for continuing education and further leadership positions. This individual will work closely with the Head Coach to help drive and develop the vision of the program.

Philosophy:

The Noblesville Swim Club philosophy is to create a program that facilitates an environment for individuals of all ability levels to achieve their goals.  While surrounding the swimmers with a strong community we take a long term approach to the development of swimmers by focusing on the foundations of proper technique first and progressive training programs second.

General Duties:

  • Establish and maintain relationships and open communications with swimmers and parents.
  • Management and running of daily practices.  This must be done in a direction that supports the coaching philosophy and direction of the program as established by the Head Coach.
  • Oversee and Manage the Age Group coaching staff.
  • Oversee development and progression of the Age Group Program.
  • This individual is responsible for all meet entries and communications for meets with the age group program.
  • Meet with the Head Coach to outline developmental progressions, practice sessions, meet schedules, and to discuss problems or opportunities. These meeting should also ensure that the management of the group and program remains united with one direction.
  • Create a positive team oriented atmosphere where swimmers learn the values of the community through OWNERSHIP and LEADERSHIP.
  • All NOB coaches are energetic and supporters of the sport of swimming and the Noblesville Swim Club.

Qualifications:

 

  • College Degree (Preferred)
  • Competitive Swimming Experience (Required)
  • An Eagerness to Learn and Grow as a Coach (Required)
  • Coaching Experience at the Age Group and/or Senior Level (Required)
  • Candidate must possess integrity, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping swimmers maximize their potential.

 

  • Individual must have strong administrative skills, management skills, and very proficient with using Team Unify.
  • Candidate must have a strong understanding of the proper technique and training pathways that develop a swimmer from the 8 and under age group to a senior level swimmer.
  • Individual must have a general understanding on proper dryland programs for age group athletes.
  • Individual must be highly organized with training plans, and tracking data across the program.
  • Candidate needs to have strong presentation skills for group meetings, staff meetings, and parent presentations.
  • Candidate must have strong management skills, and takes a level headed approach to a wide array of scenarios that may come about while in a Head Coaching position.

Compensation: Pay is based on experience and qualification of candidate.
