Job Description:

The women’s swimming and diving program at the United States Naval Academy is accepting applications for a Volunteer Assistant Swim Coach. You will have the opportunity to administer and coach a team of student athletes at a military service academy while operating under NCAA Division I and Patriot League conference rules and regulations. 

This provides opportunities to travel for dual meets, training trips, championship meets, and national competitions during the season and to work the Navy Swim Camp in the summer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coaching during scheduled practice times
  • Operations and administration of a collegiate swimming and diving program
  • Recruiting duties 
  • Meet operations and management
  • Stroke technique analysis 
  • Learn and develop knowledge in compliance with the United States Naval Academy, Patriot League, & NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Provide support to student athletes at a military service academy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • USA Swimming certifications
  • Collegiate competitive experience 
  • Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, patience, work ethic
