Location: Lake Orion High School, East Scripps Road, Orion Township, MI, USA
Liquid Lightning, located in Lake Orion, Michigan, is actively seeking a highly motivated and committed Head Age Group coach to work with swimmers ages 12 & younger. The right candidate will have strong technical knowledge, great work ethic, motivating demeanor, and a competitive nature. The position will entail working with specific groups, create passion, and empower young swimmers to live the ideals of swimming through life.
Desired Qualifications
• 3-5yrs of Coaching and/or competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level.
• Current USA Swimming coach certifications are up to date. Foundations of Coaching, Background check, and Safety training for Swim Coaches certifications, Lifeguarding and all certifications required by USA Swimming.
• Ability to work & communicate with entire coaching staff to provide a vision for the overall development of training groups and team performance.
• Desire & passion for developing swimmers of all ages and talent level.
• A personal desire to succeed professionally and advance the Team. Leadership qualities that bring elevation to the Team.
• Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills with swimmers and parents and be process focused.
• Communicating with age group parents regularly conducting age group evaluations and Group Placements.
• Create a Growth Mindset environment of fun, passion and learning for whole Team, build lifelong love for the sport of Swimming.
• Hours range in evenings and is a full-time position, and will include on deck, swim meet and admin hours as assigned by the Head Coach. Computer skills with Team Unify and Hy Tek software is encouraged.
Compensation
Liquid Lightning offers a FT competitive compensation based on qualifications. There are no benefits offered. Salary based on experience and will be discussed in the interview process.
Time Commitment – This position is full-time and runs for both short course and long course. Ideal candidate is available for all workout sessions, especially their assigned Group. 1-2 weekends per month for meets, and various Team activities throughout the seasons. Position will start September 5th Fall Session.
