Summary

CAT 5 Aquatics is seeking an experienced, energetic, and visionary Head Coach to lead our growing year-round competitive swim program. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership and a passion for developing athletes of all ages.

Build a nationally ranked swim team that encourages personal growth and provides competitive opportunities at all levels

A united team that encourages family involvement and a love of the sport of swimming while providing opportunities for athletes to become champions both in and out of the water.

Organizational Goals

• Providing interactive coaching that engages swimmers at all developmental stages.
• Enhancing skills development across training groups.
• Offering intentional team building opportunities that strengthen relationships and unite athletes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, oversee, and grow all training groups.
• Develop seasonal plans and training structures.
• Hire, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches.
• Define practice group standards.
• Build competitive meet schedules
• Communicate with swimmers, parents, staff, and leadership.
• Communicate and maintain positive relationships with facilities managers across multiple sites.
• Maintain a positive, disciplined, team culture.
• Manage team policies and discipline.
• Support fundraising and outreach.
• Represent CAT 5 Aquatics professionally.

Desired Qualifications

• Success coaching swimmers across all levels.
• Strong technical stroke and training knowledge.
• Experience managing staff.
• Excellent communication skills
• Current USA Swim certifications (including CPR).
• Positive coaching philosophy across multiple age groups
• Commitment to professional development.
