College Swim Job: FSU Swimming and Diving Director of Operations

Department of Athletics – Swimming and Diving

Responsibilities

Completes all administrative duties for the swimming and diving office to include but not limited to: general front office duties; travel arrangements/authorizations; generating requisitions, receiving purchase orders, managing p-card/t-card administrative tasks. Updates and implements recruiting database; processes ADF forms, IDRs and vendor profiles. 

Coordinates travel arrangements and payments as well as completes travel documents for swimming and diving. Assists in coordinating all home men’s and women’s swimming and diving events. 

Assists in coordinating and managing all aspects of swimming and diving clinics, coaches clinics, and alumni events. 

Responsible for the maintenance and oversight for the overall budgets with Swimming and Diving programs. Responsible for keeping coaches informed weekly on status of budget and alerting coaching staffs and sport oversight administrator immediately if items are requested that are not budgeted.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and two years relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years relevant experience.  

Experience with making travel arrangements and processing travel reimbursements. 
Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, and internet; ability to maintain databases. 
Ability to monitor and manage budgets. 
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend hours.

Preferred

Knowledge of and ability to apply NCAA and ACC rules and regulations. 
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some evening and weekend hours.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
