OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated, self-sufficient, and visionary Club Swim Coach to lead and grow our youth swim team of 35-40 swimmers to 70–80 over time. This individual must be a go-getter—someone who doesn’t need their hand held, sees the big picture, and is excited to build upon a strong foundation. Our swim lesson program is thriving and serves as a great feeder system—you just need the vision and follow-through.
The Club Swim Coach will also assist with the continued growth of the spring and summer swim lesson program, which includes seasonal camps, group instruction, and introductory classes. During the spring and summer seasons, the Club Coach will work alongside the Lead Assistant Swim Coach (college program) to help facilitate the overall Aquatics Program.
This role includes some support responsibilities for the college swim and dive program, such as helping with practice facilitation, meet operations, and community engagement events.
This position has potential to become full-time if swim team numbers and summer aquatics program goals are met under the coach’s leadership and vision.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide a positive, growth-minded environment for youth athletes.
- Serve as a role model for swimmers, promoting discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Actively participate in at least one swim meet per month.
- Be available for practices 3 times/week in the off-season and 5 times/week during the regular season (evenings and weekends).
- Maintain regular communication with families and staff.
- Help promote the club program through outreach and by building relationships in the community.
- Support discipline and team policies consistently across age groups.
- Prepare swimmers for long-term development in the sport, whether for high school or collegiate levels.
College Team Support (Limited Scope)
- Assist with occasional college team practices and local meets.

- Maintain swimmer attendance and track progress over the season.
- Collaborate with the Aquatics Director on team schedules, staffing, and logistics.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and capable of executing the EAP if needed.
- Communicate clearly with team leadership and follow risk management procedures.
