Chinese Provincial Team Elite Head Coach

Job Description:

Location: Nanjing, Jiangsu, China


Jiangsu swimming team is an elite provincial swimming team in China, our elite-group consists of 25-30 swimmers on a high national and international level, with several swimmers on the Chinese National Swim team. The team routinely have swimmers competing in the Olympics, World Championships, Asian Games.
We are seeking an experienced full time elite coach with excellent communications skills, high motivation and ambitions, and a strong ability to develop our elite swimmers to the next level.

Lead our team’s mission to fully develop each individual’s ability to realize his/her goals through quality year-round training, while developing well-rounded student athletes, encouraging team spirit and sportsmanship
Maintain and increase team overall participation, including participation at the highest levels of the sport. (i.e.Olympic games, World Championships, Asian Games,  Junior Nationals)

Minimum Qualifications:
At least 10 years of competitive coaching experience at both developmental and elite youth level, and a proven track record of podium success at world stage.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
ASCA level 4 or 5 preferred, will consider strong candidates with ASCA level 3 with ability to coach swimmers beyond the National level.
Advanced experience coaching various ages and skill levels in a competitive environment
A deep understanding of sports development, athletes’ development pathways and Long Term Athlete Development
Ability to set and achieve individual and team goals and encourage others to do the same.

This is a year-round, salaried position with opportunity for performance-based incentives. Salary will be competitive with qualifications and experience. The comprehensive package offer may include international flights, food, accommodation and a full time language translator/PA.
