The LIU Brooklyn team, still in its first-ever year, took a training trip to Puerto Rico over break. Although the team may be new, they are veterans in the video-making game; earlier this season, they published a video documenting their first semester of competition.

Led by coach Tiffany Clay, they are 7-2 in duals so far this season, and one of their losses was by just one point to Siena College on November 11th.

Their biggest meet so far this season was the MIT Winter Invite, where they scored fourth overall in the team rankings. Their highest individual finishes came from Nathalie Meyers, who swam 2:07.58 for fifth in the 200 back; Katelyn Coleman, who swam 52.25 for sixth in the 100 free; and Milly Furneaux, who went 2:22.33 in the 200 breaststroke. There, the team also finished fourth in the 200 medley and the 400 free relays.

Last weekend, the team took a 51-197 loss to Yale in New Haven. Their next dual against Central Connecticut was postponed due to the storm, but later on they will face Wagner, Northeastern, and Villanova. They’ll finish off their season with the Northeast Conference Tournament in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 24-27.
