IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly swimming and diving awards.
SWIMMING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Christie Chue, Senior, FIU
Chue aided FIU to a dual-meet victory over Florida Atlantic on January 27 by winning three individual events. The senior captured the 100-yard freestyle in 51.53, the 200 freestyle in 1:52.08 and the 200 individual medley in 2:05.57.
DIVING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Frida Zuniga Guzman, Redshirt Sophomore, East Carolina
Zuniga Guzman captured two event wins against Georgia Tech on January 27. The redshirt sophomore won the 1-meter event with a total score of 299.25 and the 3-meter event with 308.55 total points.
