El Golfo Aranci, en Italia, recibió la segunda etapa de la Copa del Mundo de Natación en Aguas Abiertas de World Aquatics 2023, programa que incluyó los 10 km masculinos y femeninos.

En hombres, a un kilómetro de la meta, Kristof Rasovszky cerró su estrategia y desde la sexta posición asciende para liderar el grupo, llegando primero a la meta. El italiano Domenico Acerenza logró terminar segundo, a tres segundos del húngaro.

Los atletas compitieron en trajes de neopreno, ya que la temperatura del agua de 17,3 grados fue inferior a la reglamentada por la FINA (18 grados).

Entre los latinoamericanos, los brasileños tuvieron los mejores resultados, aunque también se destacaron dentro del pelotón la peruana Mariale Bramont y el argentino Joaquín Moreno.
