Megan Hawk
Background
Swimming runs in the Hawk family. Megan’s dad, Hal, swam for John Carroll University, so naturally, he wanted his daughter to try the sport. Once she started, Megan never stop. She swam for the Sand Otter Swim Club and eventually for her high school. She again followed in her dad’s footsteps and now competes for John Carroll University where she majors in business management.
High School
Megan swam for Fremont Ross High School where she was a part of 3 record setting relays. She made it to the district meet in the 100-yard freestyle. Two years in a row, her team won the Three Rivers Athletic Conference meet.
College
2014-2015: For Megan, the best part of her freshman season was being on a women’s team that went undefeated in the conference during the dual meet season. Megan contributed to the victorious effort by swimming sprint freestyle events and butterfly. She placed top 16 in all three of her individual events at the Ohio Athletic Conference meet and swam a leg of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay.
